Community Work
Brian regularly designs & leads workshops, classes and community projects that use creative writing and performance-based practice for creative expression, academic instruction and social change. He has been engaged in queer politics, especially around HIV/AIDS, as an activist with ACT-UP London and as a peer support volunteer with the Bloomsbury Network (where he co-created the documentary A Life Beyond) .
As a workshop facilitator, organizer and educator, Brian has worked with participants of all backgrounds - including young people, migrants and asylum seekers, the formerly incarcerated and the homeless, among others. A selection of his drama-based work includes:
